The EMO company, and currently EMO-FARM Sp. z o.o., has been present in the pharmaceutical market since 1983.
In its many years’ history, the company dynamically and consequently developed and enlarged its product portfolio, starting with the gel for USG which was a first product of this type in the domestic market, throughout other products – most of which soon gained trust and recognition among clients. The best-known products manufactured by EMO-FARM are: Naproxen EMO, Neoxen, Venożel, Altacet, Rivel and many others that bring relief in pains, inflammations, venous problems and skin infections.
Numerous prizes and distinctions for individual products (The “Golden Otis”, The “Golden Consumer Laurel”, The “Product of the Year”) and for the company - as a whole (The “Business Gazelle Ranking”, The “Economic First Prize of the Governor of Łódź”) are the reflection of patients' and the pharmaceutical-medical society's recognition.
In 2006 EMO-FARM received permission for business in the Łódź Special Economic Zone. Two years later in the area of Łódź SEZ, the construction of modern storehouse-manufacturing site located at Łódzka 52 Street was finished, to which all manufacturing processes were transferred. The new area was a milestone in further development of the company; it increased the production potential not only in terms of production capacity but also in terms of equipment meeting the highest quality standards.
On 29th of April 2009 ICN Polfa Rzeszów S.A., a part of an international consortium Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, purchased 100% of shares of EMO-FARM Sp. z o.o.
In July 2010 the new production department was opened. It is equipped with specialist equipment and devices allowing manufacture of new pharmaceutical formulations – ointments and creams with antibiotics and steroids (Maxibiotic, Mupirox, Elosone, Novate).
The new areas were prepared to production according to GMP standards, which was reflected in awarded GMP standards.
On 30th of November 2012 Przedsiębiorstwo Farmaceutyczne Jelfa S.A purchased 100% of shares of EMO-FARM Sp. z o.o.
EMO-FARM Sp. z o.o. is a manufacturing plant for products designated for the domestic market but also dynamically expands its production to foreign markets – the most significant of which are: Hungary, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey, Greece, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Italy and Romania. EMO-FARM acts also as a contract manufacturer for leading partners in the pharmaceutical sector.
